Here is every dumb theory I put forward on Twitter regarding the “Flame On!” promo that promises a change bigger than anything we’ve seen for a Fantastic Four member since 1961 besides Johnny coming out, which is what I’m hoping for secretly but like you said, Marvel are cowards:

• The promo says Doom is involved and we also know Doom’s wedding is going to likely involve some kind of fakeout, so theory #1 is Slott “pays homage” to Claremont by bodyswapping Doom and Johnny and having Johnny marry Victorious, pretend to be Victor, and rule Latveria. Points in favor of this: it’s very stupid and heterosexual. Points against it: this plot has literally been done with Reed already. 
• Johnny is revealed not to be biologically related to the Storms; instead he is the child of previous Latverian royalty and is given a mission to take back the throne. Points in favor of this: it’s very stupid and Doom would be involved. Points against it: Fraction’s Iron Man, anyone? Johnny is a little Sue clone.
• See the above, but Johnny and Victorious were somehow switched at birth. Johnny still has to “take back” the Latverian throne.
• I haaaaate this one I hate it I hate it but @imperiuswrecked suggested that it could be Johnny having a child, which is like, the ONE life event they’ve only sort of but never actually pulled off with Johnny, and I immediately clocked onto Lyja being back and went “they could bring the egg baby back and reveal it was real all along.” This is my worst case scenario and I don’t want it to happen but the pieces ARE there. Pros: None. Cons: LITERALLY EVERYTHING. 
• Nothing happens and Marvel hypes us all up for nothing. Pros: status quo. Cons: I mean it could be worse. 
• JohnnyBobby DoomStorm double beach wedding. I don’t think this will happen but when my friend @unclepetunio ran a betting pool centering around the X4 event I put all my fake money on that and now I feel obliged to bring it up whenever I can. 
• The real longshot: Johnny does come out and I have to enter a weird truce with Dan Slott. 

Anyway, regardless of what happens, I’m just repeating this to myself like a mantra:
